Performance Diet Software Review
Our Performance Diet software review looks at perhaps the most comprehensive diet and exercise software we've come
across - very impressive! If exercise is a big part of your weight loss program and you're looking for software
to track your exercise regime and fitness progress, then this may be the ideal software package for you.
Performance Diet is produced by HealthKeeper and seems to have all the bases covered. It's feature packed for both
the serious fitness user and the dedicated dieter. So let's check it out...
Performance Diet Software Review - Features and Benefits...
Performance Diet can be used with any popular diet and fitness program. The initial impression of our Performance
Diet software review was positive, as it's very logically ordered into a number
of main headings, each with its own help section. As such, the software is very easy to navigate and use and we
had little difficulty mastering it in minutes. Performance Diet concentrates on a low GI approach to food
and weight loss, which is one of the better ways to lose weight and keep it off. Check out our page on the
Glycemic Index
for more information. There's also a comprehensive information section in the Performance Diet software on the GI
and a range of dietary and health
issues. In summary, though, the GI measures the rate at which the food you eat is converted
to sugar. High GI foods that are quickly converted to sugar can raise your blood sugar level, causing your body to
produce insulin, your fat storing hormone. Not a good thing if you're trying to lose or maintain your weight! As
such, amongst Performance Diet's vast array of features is the ability to track your blood sugar and insulin levels. Good for dieters generally but also a useful feature for diabetics. Given the close correlation between obesity
and Type II diabetes, this is a valuable feature for overweight people at risk of or with diabetes. Performance
Diet has all the usual features you would expect of a quality diet software product, including a database of 10,000
different foods. We were particularly impressed with the meal planning and diet tracking features. For instance,
with the calorie balancer you can track your trends over a week so as to assess your calorie debits and credits.
This is useful for adjusting your food intake when you perhaps eat a little too much or too little on a day to day
basis. You can also see the impact that everything you eat each day has on your diet. A useful motivational tool
that may well prevent you from cheating when the munchies come a calling - just look at the impact a donut has!
The meal planner is very easy to use and once you've entered your personal details and goals, it calculates your
calorie intake and nutritional requirements. There's no one size fits all approach to be found here! You get a
very detailed analysis and breakdown of your meals and using the tools provided, can construct the ideal diet to
enable you to reach your weight loss, fitness and health goals. There's also an extensive range of ready made
meal plans and recipes that you can use, as well as the capacity to enter and save your own. Creating shopping lists
is a breeze once you've decided on your meal plans and recipes. Designing and tracking your fitness plan is very
straightforward with Performance Diet. There's an extensive database of weight training and aerobic exercises to
use and tracking your progress is simple. Once you've entered the type of exercise, its duration and intensity,
you can produce reports and graphs on your calorie expenditure and the impact on your body composition. 12 different
people can use Performance Diet at once, a handy feature if your family and friends want to join you in losing
weight or getting fit! The getting started guide, help and support that comes with the software is excellent and
makes using the software extremely simple. Performance Diet costs $39.99 as an immediate download and
there's a free trial so you can try before you buy. Annual updates are free for registered users. If technical
support is needed, it's free via e-mail. Performance Diet runs on Windows, although it will run on a Mac with the
newer IBM emulation software.
Performance Diet Software Review - The Bottom Line...
Our Performance Diet software review found the software to be very easy to use and packed full of features.
Whether you're looking to lose weight, improve your fitness or both, this software should be a very useful tool to
help you achieve your wellness goals. At $39.99 it provides excellent value for money and we really can't find
any negatives to comment on. Our
Performance Diet
