Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet Review
We thought a Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet review might be a good idea having seen a few ads for this diet promising 10lbs of weight loss in just two days!Having surfed a few online weight loss forums there seems to be a few disappointed customers out there! Not surprising, as if you've been a regular visitor to our site you'll be well aware of our views on diets or slimming products that make outrageous weight loss claims. So, what's this one all about then?
Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet Review - How Does it Work...?
Well, in a nutshell you buy a bottle of juice for anywhere from $14.95 to $25 depending where you get it from and drink it whilst fasting for two days. You dilute the juice with water and drink it four times a day, in addition to a few glasses of water. During the two day fast you eat no food at all. Not even a lettuce leaf. As well as losing 10lbs in the two days, the diet is also promoted as a sort of detox program. The advertising blurb claims that it was created to, "give your internal body a monthly vacation by washing away toxins and fat and giving your digestive system a much needed break." Yeah, right! The juice itself is claimed to be 100% natural and is a, "special blend of essential fruits, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants and essential oils."
Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet Review - Does it Work...?
Ok, let's clear up the weight loss claims first. There are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. To lose 10lbs of fat
in two days you'd need to burn an extra 35,000 calories. That's 17,500 calories a day. You only burn around 2,600
calories running a marathon for Pete's sake! There's no juice or any other food, powder or pill that can burn that much fat that quickly. You may well lose a small amount of body fat if you starve yourself for two days, but most of the weight loss will be water. Go back to eating again, which you will, and the weight will go straight back on. Starving yourself is never a good idea. You'll feel intensely hungry, dizzy nauseous and dehydrated. Do it repeatedly, even for relatively brief periods of time and your body will slow down your metabolism to counter the effects of the period of starvation. In other words you'll burn fewer calories, which is ultimately counter-productive. As far as the detox claims are concerned - eat a healthy, balanced diet and drink plenty of water and guess what...you won't need to detox!
Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet Review - The Bottom Line...
This diet - can you really call a bottle of juice a diet? - will not lead to permanent weight loss.Furthermore, it's expensive. Fruit juice and a decent multivitamin and mineral supplement will do the same job for less than half the price. If you're looking for a healthy way to lose weight, then check out our
