Diet Pro Diet Software Review
This Diet Pro diet software review takes a look at a popular and powerful tool with a few unique features and an
unparalled recipe database - impressive!Diet Pro is a weight management tool that has most of the features that
you'd expect of any diet software, but is particularly strong when it comes to recipes, meal planning and
nutritional analysis. It's initially not as easy to use as some of its competitors and takes a bit of getting used
to but is an impressive piece of kit when you know your way around. It's more expensive than some of its rivals,
so do you get anything more for your money?
Diet Pro Diet Software Review - Features and Benefits...
First off, our Diet Pro diet software review found Diet Pro to be packed full of features when it comes to diet, weight and recipe management. You can do
everything from recording your weight and other body measurements, to tracking your progress in daily, weekly and
monthly calendars. It's highly flexible and you can customise reports in pretty much anyway that you want to when
you learn how. There's a huge food database and when it comes to recipes... There are over 750 recipes in the
database and you can import your own, cut and paste them from the internet and share them via e-mail. You
can also create a favourite recipe list so you save time when inputting into the meal planner or recording what you ate that day.
One feature I've not come across before is a searchable library of cooking techniques and a cooking and diet glossary.
The software also lets you create shopping lists and even organise them by supermarket aisles! There are most of the
usual tools like BMI and calorie calculators, but no body composition tool.
There is though, a database of other cookery and diet sites, which is useful for new ideas and recipes - not that you'll need them! Diet Pro is
compatible with most leading diets. So, if you're doing the South Beach, Atkins, Zone or whatever, there's no
problem in customising the software accordingly. Another nice feature is that you can set up accounts for as many
users as you want, so the whole family can use the software and diet at the same time!
The major omission in Diet Pro, however is the lack of an
exercise log and tracker. You can get reports on how many calories you're burning each day, but without being
able to track your exercise regime it's difficult to know the contribution in terms of calorie burn it's
responsible for. Diet Pro is a little less easy to use than some of the diet software we've tried, but there is
an excellent illustrated online help guide as well as animated training tutorials. At $64.95, it's more
expensive than some of its competitors but you can download a free trial version, or order a CD for $4 plus
postage if you've a slow internet connection. You can save on postage when purchasing and download the software.
Alternatively you can order a CD if
you prefer. There's a 60 day risk free money back guarantee whichever format you choose. Diet Pro runs on Windows,
but there's no version for Mac users.
Diet Pro Diet Software Review - The Bottom Line...
Our Diet Pro diet software review would conclude that this is a very impressive piece of kit.The diet, menu and
recipe planning, tracking and management facilities are second to none. Our main criticism would be the absence of an
exercise log, which would require the purchase of additional software if you wanted that facility. It's also a
little more pricey than some of the competition, although you do get a vast array of features for the price. Our Diet Pro diet software review would suggest that it will
take a little more getting used to than some other software, but the online help and support is more than adequate to
get you started. If you'd like to buy the software, then visit
Diet Pro.
Our Diet Pro diet software review verdict? Shame about the exercise log, otherwise a great
piece of software!
