March 08, 2007
Hi

Exercise at Home and Shape Up the Convenient Way

Welcome to the latest issue of "Too Busy for Weight Loss!"

This is a monthly e-zine that will cut through the hype, fads and gimmicks to give you the low down on the really important information you need to successfully lose weight and keep it off.

If you like this e-zine, please do a friend and me a big favor and "pay it forward."

If a friend DID forward this to you and if you like what you read, please subscribe by visiting our website.

And so to this month's e-zine...

We've said it before and we'll say it again, there are two key aspects to weight loss -- a healthy balanced diet and...exercise.

Being physically active is the absolute best way to increase your metabolism and burn the extra calories essential to successful weight loss.

I am constantly amazed at how many diets, ads for diets and weight loss supplements that claim you can lose weight without exercising.

Forget it! If you want to lose weight and keep it off in the long term you simply must build some exercise into your daily routine. Period.

Now we've discussed this subject in a previous e-zine, and whilst I'm sure that you grasp the importance of exercise for weight loss..how do you build it into your busy daily routine?

Well, one solution is to exercise at home.

Anyone reading this that subscribes to our site blog will have noticed that we've been reviewing a lot of home exercise equipment recently.

Specifically treadmill reviews and elliptical trainer reviews.

Why?

Well one of the most common reasons that people cite for not exercising on a regular basis is time.

As busy people ourselves we can sympathise.

Juggling busy careers and two children that seem to belong to more clubs and participate in more extra-curricular activities than there are days in the week is not easy!

Finding the time to go to the gym is difficult.

Even going out for a walk when you're late home from work and the kids are in bed is tough - you can't just leave them alone for 30 minutes whilst you stroll around the block!

A solution for many people is to exercise at home.

The concept isn't new - remember those old Jane Fonda videos?

But for many people it's the perfect solution.

Sure we belong to a gym, but I've always worked out at home as well.

Whether going for a run, doing a few crunches or press ups or pumping a Bullworker as a teenager in my bedroom along to AC/DC.

I even had a bench and set of weights in the living room of my student house when I was at university.

The convenience of an exercise bike in the corner, a treadmill in the spare room or simply a roll up mat on which to do a few crunches is hard to beat.

Ok, so there is a cost in purchasing the equipment itself, which may be beyond the means of some people.

Not that you need necessarily buy any.

Space in the house may also be tight, but there's nothing to beat the convenience of exercising at home.

No detours to the gym on the way to or from work, no queues for the equipment, no childcare to arrange.

Simply set up the treadmill in front of the TV, pop on an exercise DVD - or whatever - and workout.

You don't need to leave the house and brave the elements or rush hour traffic.

Forget working out with all those buff bods that make you wonder why you bother.

Just find 30 or 40 minutes three or more times a week - 10-15 minutes will do if that's all you've got - and work up a sweat.

There are plenty of weight loss exercises that will help to burn fat and build muscle that can be done in the comfort of your own home.

If going to the gym or pounding the streets isn't your bag, then exercising at home may just be the solution you're looking for.

Combine it with a healthy weight loss plan and you're well on the way to the shape you deserve!

Until next month,

Best wishes,

Marcus and Lisa
